What’s been happening:

My first stop after graduating form PSU was a teaching job at Laurel Valley High School which began in the fall of 1968 and ended in June of 1977. I taught sociology and psychology at the high school level. I also was involved in coaching junior high football and basketball and started a golf program which is still in operation as I write this brief history. In 1977 I moved to Greensburg, Pa and followed my heart to working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Eventually, I founded my own agency for providing support and services to such individuals living in the community. It has been a successful and life-enriching adventure. Along the way, my family has grown into a wife and two children, a son and a daughter and they have added four grandchildren, two boys and two girls. I earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh and was working on a PhD at Indiana University of Pa, when a health issue caused me to withdraw. My life has been wonderful despite the my failure to complete my dream of earning a PhD but I have enjoyed the journey which was fostered during my years at PSU.
